Job summary

Five Star Nursing in Ohio is seeking a Registered Nurse - Oncology to deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced oncology unit. You will assess, plan, and implement individualized treatments with a compassionate, team-based approach.

Night shift, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, three days per week, with competitive weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, licensure reimbursement, and opportunities for professional development within FSN.

Qualifications

• BSN or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years hospital experience.
• Compact RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory.

Responsibilities

Registered Nurse - Oncology

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients, including assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
• Administer chemotherapy, medications, and other treatments in accordance with physician orders and established safety protocols.
• Monitor and manage patient responses to treatments, promptly addressing any adverse reactions or complications.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment procedures, side effects, and self-care techniques to promote understanding and comfort.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure the highest standard of patient support.
• Adhere to all regulatory requirements, safety standards, and hospital policies.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent hospital experience, demonstrating strong clinical assessment skills.
• Valid and current Compact RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
• Proven critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, emotionally demanding environment with a team-focused approach.

Shift & Schedule:

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3 days per week)
