We are currently seeking an experienced:

REGISTERED NURSE (RN)

Job Description:

1. Ensure quality nursing care for patients by following physician’s orders, state and federal regulations, and facility policies and procedures.
2. Administer medications (oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, or intravenous) as ordered by MD and according to facility policies.
3. Supervise, guide, and lead nursing assistants and orderlies.
4. Assist physicians during rounds as needed.
5. Remain with and care for patients during MD rounds, physical examinations, and treatments as necessary.
6. Perform scheduled treatments during shifts and document appropriately. Maintain infection control measures.
7. Adhere to all regulations related to cleanliness, infection control, and Standard/Universal Precautions.
8. Assist with research related to nursing care quality, as assigned.
9. Help with records, orders, and assessments of new admissions. Schedule and ensure timely completion of physicals and documentation.

Job Requirements:

1. Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with a valid registered nurse license from North Carolina Board of Nursing.
2. Provide proof of license renewal every two years.
3. Provide quality nursing care, follow doctor’s orders, and demonstrate interest in geriatric nursing.
4. Maintain CPR certification annually.
5. Attend in-service training and staff meetings as required.
6. Supervise nursing assistants to ensure work is completed appropriately and on time.
7. Be dependable, flexible, cooperative, patient, and tactful when working with patients, families, doctors, and staff.
8. Make informed decisions regarding nursing problems, understanding the serious consequences of errors or incompetence.
