Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Nursery and Post-Partum unit in Highland Park, IL. This full-time role (36 hours/week) involves 19:00–07:30 shifts with weekend rotation and on-call requirements. Travel includes float to Post-Partum Evanston Hospital.

You will provide safe, compassionate LDRP nursing care, follow the nursing process, and lead unlicensed staff while coordinating with the care team to ensure quality patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an NLN-accredited nursing program is required.
• BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider is required (AHA).
• Current registered nursing licensure in IL is required.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing or 1 year labor and delivery/postpartum experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently provide safe, effective nursing care in the LDRP.
• Use the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Direct and guide unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering care.
• Communicate and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Hourly Pay Range:

$37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Sign on Bonus: $25,000: To be eligible for the sign on bonus, must have 18 months of LDRP experience.

• Position: Registered Nurse –Nursery and Post-Partum
• Location: Highland Park, IL
• Full Time/Part Time: Full time, 36 hours per week
• Hours: 1900–0730, with weekend rotation
• On Call: per unit requirements 12 hours per 6 week schedule
• Required Travel: Float to Post-Partum Evanston Hospital

What you will do:

• Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care in the LDRP
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
• Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
• Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience

What you will need:

• Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
• Certification: BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider required ( American Heart Association)
• License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
• Experience: 1 year of acute care nursing experience or 1 year labor and delivery/post-partum experience preferred
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Labor and Delivery/post-partum experience
