Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse Resident for Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO. The role requires full-time night shifts (12 hours) in the 5H Surgical department, with a 36-hour work week. The RN will deliver patient care using the nursing process and collaborate across departments.

Qualifications include Missouri RN licensure, BLS, and graduation from a nursing program. Incentives include sign-on bonuses, bridging programs, and loan forgiveness through Mercy.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (BSN, ADN, or Diploma).
• Licensure: Missouri RN license and/or compact licensure as required.
• Certifications: BLS or within 30 days of hire; unit-specific certs as needed.
• Physical: Lifting up to 50 lbs; standing/walking long shifts; various body movements.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Evaluates care effectiveness of direct care givers.
