Job description

The Nursing Department in the Manhattan campus is seeking full-time Registered Nurses (RNs) for 12-hour shifts for day or night assignments. Location is the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Full-time RNs are entitled to a sign-on bonus of $5000. Part-time RNs will receive a prorated sign-on bonus.

Under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Supervisor, the RN plans, administers, and assists in all activities on a specific Nursing Unit, in a manner consistent with The New Jewish Home mission, vision, and values.

Job Duties:

• Participates in, monitors, and reports about the quality of life and care issues of residents/clients.
• Participates in the assessment of residents/clients.
• Participates in the management of the Environment of Care as it relates to the safety of residents/clients and staff.
• Participates in the surveillance, prevention, and control of infection by adhering to and ensuring compliance of staff with infection control policies and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as directed.
