Job summary

Mission Regional Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks an experienced RN to join nights shift and deliver high-quality patient care. You will utilize the nursing process across assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation while guiding patient and family education.

The role emphasizes NICU/nursery experience, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with the care team to serve neonates from birth through discharge.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (AHA) certification required on hire.
• NRP (AHA) certification 30 days after hire and must be current.
• One year experience in an acute care setting with nursery or NICU exposure.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct patient/family teaching and supervision of other nursing personnel.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and treatment response.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and visitors; ensure neonates in NICU post-delivery through discharge.

Responsibilities

Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Provides for a safe environment for patients and visitors. Utilizes the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care to neonates from post delivery stabilization through discharge. NICU- Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice with assistance to neonates.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• NRP (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• One year experience in an acute care setting with experience in nursery or NICU environment.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
