Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center Inc. is seeking Registered Nurses for Medical Surgical units across Bridgton Hospital, Central Maine Medical Center, and Rumford Hospital. The role features 3 x 12-hour shifts with pay ranging from $36.00 to $49.16 per hour.

Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 for 2+ years of RN experience, and up to $10,000 for new graduates. A fast hiring process is noted. Full-time, benefits-eligible positions available.

Qualifications

• RN license current and valid
• BLS certificate on hire and maintained
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained (preferred)
• Acute care hospital experience preferred
• Ventilator management experience preferred
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate).
• Direct patient/family teaching and coordinate with other staff within Medical/Surgical Unit.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He / She communicates with physician about changes in the patient‘s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
