Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, KS, seeks a Registered Nurse to assess and coordinate holistic patient care. The role requires RN licensure, ADN, and BLS certification, with 1+ medical office experience preferred. You will collaborate with the care team, implement care plans, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• RN license required; BLS required.
• 1+ medical office experience preferred.
• ADN is required while BSN is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, psychological, cultural, and spiritual needs.
• Develop and implement patient care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in therapeutic and diagnostic interventions (IVs, wound care, medications, catheterization).
• Advocate for patient safety and rights.
• Educate patients and families based on learning needs and assess teaching effectiveness.

Job Description:

• Assesses patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interviews, and review of medical records and clinical data.
• Develops and implements patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, observing outcomes in accordance with nursing standards.
