AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in Kansas is seeking a Registered Nurse to assess patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs, and to develop care plans with the interdisciplinary team.

You will perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, document appropriately in the Electronic Health Record, and educate patients and families. RN licensure and CPR are required; a Bachelor's in Nursing is preferred.

• Performs therapeutic and diagnostic interventions (IVs, wound care, meds, catheterization, specimen collection).
• Educates patients and families based on learning readiness and evaluates teaching effectiveness.

Job Description

Assesses patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interviews, and review of medical records and clinical data. Develops and implements patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, observing outcomes in accordance with nursing standards. Demonstrates competency in therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection. Advocates for and protects the health, safety, and rights of each patient. Provides patient and family education based on assessment of learning readiness, needs, and ability, and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching.
