Job summary

AdventHealth in Hinsdale, IL, is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time day shift to support neurologic and general clinic operations. This role covers patient assessment, care planning, and coordination across the care team, with opportunities to contribute to patient education and transition planning.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license (BLS required) and has strong nursing skills, documentation, and EHR experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
• Registered Nurse license is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• 1+ years of medical office experience preferred; 5+ years of critical care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interviews, and review of medical records and clinical data.
• Develop and implement patient care plans with the interdisciplinary team, observing outcomes in accordance with nursing standards.
• Demonstrates competency in therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection.
• Advocates for and protects the health, safety, and rights of each patient.
• Provides patient and family education based on assessment of learning readiness, needs, and ability, and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching.
• Encourages patient engagement in healthcare through motivational interviewing, self-management protocols, and teach-back methodology.
• Delivers relationship-based care, engaging patients in all aspects of care with respect for cultural differences and diversity.
• Delegates tasks to non-RN personnel in accordance with State Board of Nursing and hospital policy.
• Other duties as assigned. Coordinates and implements group visits for identified high-risk patient populations.
• Aids in the care transition of high-risk patients, including medication reconciliation and coordination of services.
• Contributes to continuous process improvement by actively participating in patient experience and satisfaction initiatives.

Job Description:

Location: 908 Elm Street, Hinsdale, IL (will travel to clinics in Bolingbrook, Carol Stream, Woodridge)

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30a-5p (possibility of 10-hour shifts)

Will cover for Neurology Clinic as needed
