Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Hinsdale, IL, seeks a Part-time Registered Nurse to join our purpose-minded team. You will provide direct patient care, perform assessments, and collaborate across units to extend the healing ministry.

Starting pay range is $33.94 to $57.08 per hour. Schedule: 24 hours per week, Day shift, with rotating weekends and holidays. Requires RN license and BLS; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Active RN license and BLS certification required.
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Ability to perform nursing assessments and plan care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and regularly revise them.
• Administer medications and treatments; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff and departments to coordinate patient care.

Job Description

• Starting Pay at $37.50/hr
• Schedule: Part Time, 24 hours/week; Days 6:45am - 7:15pm, w/rotating weekends and holidays

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
