MetroHealth Main Campus – Glick is seeking a skilled Neuro ICU Registered Nurse to provide specialized patient care in a high-acuity neuroscience unit. You will perform detailed neurological assessments, monitor ICP, titrate medications, manage ventilators, and ensure telemetry continuity.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.

Bi-weekly Hours: 72.00

Shift: 7a-7p/7p-7a; Rotating weekends, Rotating holidays

Primary Patient Population

• Adult
• Ischemic/Hemorrhagic Strokes
• Status Epilepticus
• Encephalitis
• Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
• Intracranial Hemorrhage
• Stroke
• Minor Neurological Disorders

Primary skills utilized/learned

• Detailed Neurological assessments
• ICP Monitoring
• Medication titration
• Managing surgical drains, mechanical ventilators, body temperature, & CRRT
• Neurological patient care; NIHSS Certification for Stroke care
• Telemetry monitoring
• Time management, critical thinking, delegating
• Seizure disorder monitoring/ care

Personnel RN will work with

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, Respiratory Therapy, Social Work, Speech Therapy, PT, OT, Dietary

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
