Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Fort Worth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Neuro Tele Department. This full-time role (7P-7A) includes weekend and holiday requirements, with opportunities for growth and leadership within a collaborative team.

The Neuro Tele unit (30 beds) handles stroke, seizures, Parkinson’s, MS, and telemetry patients, emphasizing teamwork and education. Strong candidates bring RN experience in acute care and a commitment to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS prior to providing independent patient care required.
• ACLS within 90 days required.
• CPI training within 90 days of hire required.
• One year experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program required.
• 2+ years Med/Surg, Neuro or Tele RN experience in acute care setting including charge/preceptor skills preferred.
• NIHSS within 6 months of hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information.
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.

Department Highlights

Here’s What You Need

• Nursing Diploma Or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
• Current BLS prior to providing independent patient care required
• ACLS within 90 days required
• CPI training within 90 days of hire required
• One (1) year experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program required
