Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Michigan seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join a 40-bed neuro unit on the night shift (12-hour shifts, 7:00 pm–7:30 am with alternating weekends). Lead coordination and delivery of quality patient care using the nursing process; communicate pertinent information to the health care team; document care and teaching for patients and families.

ACLS and NIH certifications required; BSN preferred; current Michigan RN licensure; prior RN experience is preferred for this

Qualifications

Education/Experience Required

• BSN preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
• RN experience preferred.

Certifications/Licensures Required

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Health care provider certification (BCLS).

Unit Overview

40 bed unit specializing in neuro patients. Some of the patient population consisting of stoke/stroke-like symptoms, seizure, brain bleeds, and other neuro type diagnosis. In addition, will see small number of cardiac patients with a couple cardiac drips that are not titrated, and any other patient’s needed placement. All RNs ACLS and NIH certified.
