Job summary

Henry Ford Jackson Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Neuro Universal Bed Unit—a 22-bed neurosurgery/stroke unit with high nursing autonomy and evidence-based care. The RN will lead coordination, delivery, and teaching of compassionate care for diverse patients in a Magnet-designated environment.

Qualified candidates will have an accredited nursing degree, BSN commitment within 3–5 years, and strong communication with patients, families, and hospital staff.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Enrollment in a BSN program within 3 years of hire
• Completion of a BSN within 5 years of hire
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing care plans
• Ability to communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care
• Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching
• Communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 3 years of hire
• Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of hire
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel

Certifications/Licensures Required

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
