Job summary

Trinity Health's Hauenstein 2 Stepdown unit in Grand Rapids is seeking an RN for a full-time role in a fast-paced, multi-specialty sepsis and trauma step-down environment. You will provide advanced assessments and monitoring, collaborate with a broad care team, and apply evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate has an ADN with licensure in Michigan, BSN preferred, and must obtain BSN within 4 years if ADN is held. BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing school and program.
• Associate’s degree in nursing required, BSN preferred.
• In Grand Rapids if ADN must enroll in BSN program within 6 months of hire and complete in 4 years of hire.
• Licensed in the State of Michigan.
• Certs: BLS, ACLS (ACLS at time of hire or w/in 6 months)
• Experience as an RN required.

Responsibilities

• Care for complex medical-surgical, oncology, trauma, and sepsis stepdown patients
• Perform advanced patient assessments and monitoring
• Enhance critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills
• Build expertise in managing step down patients
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, pharmacists, and fellow nurses
• Play a key role in improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practice

Hauenstein 2 Stepdown is a 16-bed, multi-specialty stepdown unit dedicated to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. Our nurses care for a diverse and complex patient population, including medical-surgical stepdown, oncology stepdown, trauma stepdown, and sepsis patients, providing a higher level of monitoring and clinical support while making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.

Our RNs:

What You Will Work:

• Full time
• 3 - 12 hours shift per week
• Every Third Weekend Rotation
• 7:00 AM - 7:30P

What Registered Nurse, RN will need:

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing school and program
• Associate’s degree in nursing required, BSN preferred.
• In Grand Rapids if ADN must enroll in BSN program within 6 months of hire and complete in 4 years of hire
• Licensed in the State of Michigan
