Job summary

Texas Health Resources invites a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Mom/Baby unit at Texas Health Plano, a part-time night shift. The 36-bed unit supports patient families with dedicated care and strives for excellence in neonatal services.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Nursing or Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required

Responsibilities

  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers

Part Time, 24 Hours; 7:00pm - 7:00am

Here's What You Need
  • Diploma in Nursing or
  • Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required
  • BSN preferred
  • Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
  • One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
  • One year of Mother/Baby experience strongly preferred
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required and
  • CPI - Crisis Intervention Training within 90 days and maintained annually required and
  • RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required
