Position Overview

This role is for a registered nurse responsible for providing patient care in a 30-bed oncology unit, caring for patients aged 18 and older. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 4-6:1. The department emphasizes education, shared governance, and mentorship programs, supporting oncology nursing certification and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive initial assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patient and family needs.


• Implement and modify nursing interventions, including administering chemotherapy/biotherapy, medications, and performing procedures like starting IVs, inserting NG tubes, and dressing changes.


• Maintain accurate documentation, ensure patient and staff safety, and report hazards or incidents.


• Provide emotional support to patients and families, and collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver holistic care.


• Foster professional development through constructive feedback and continuous learning.

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.


• Minimum of one year of RN experience, preferably with oncology skills including inpatient chemotherapy and radiation.


• Strong communication, documentation, and clinical skills to deliver safe, compassionate, and effective care.
