Henry Ford Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc, MI is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Intensive Care Unit. This graduate nurse role involves night shifts, a part-time schedule from 7pm to 7:30am, with every third weekend, and a total per-pay hours of 48–60.

Benefits include a 5% market pay differential, an additional 10% night shift premium, a $6,000 sign-on bonus, and a $2 weekend differential. The position requires an RN license and BLS/AHA credentials.

Qualificações

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 60 days of hire.
• BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association within 90 days, or Certified Instructor.
• Graduate of an approved RN nursing program.

Responsabilidades

• Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care per standards and guidelines.
• Develop and coordinate multidisciplinary plans of care honoring patient rights and preferences.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, safety, discharge instructions, and self-care.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other interventions as policies permit.
• Monitor vital signs, labs, pain, intake/output, and glucose; respond to changes in condition.
• Perform catheterization, wound care, specimen collection, IV therapy, and prep for procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, hospital staff, patients, families, and community agencies for discharge planning.
• Respond to emergencies with timely interventions and proper use of equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Promote safety, infection control, confidentiality, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide leadership and support to the team, fostering a respectful, collaborative environment.

GENERAL SUMMARY

• Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established standards, clinical practice guidelines, and patient care goals.
• Develop and coordinate multidisciplinary plans of care while promoting patient rights, dignity, culture, preferences, and expressed needs.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, safety measures, discharge instructions, and self-care needs.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other therapeutic interventions according to established policies and procedures.
• Monitor patient physiological status, including vital signs, lab results, pain levels, intake/output, and blood glucose, recognizing and responding appropriately to changes in condition.
• Perform and assist with nursing procedures including catheterization, wound care, specimen collection, IV therapy, and patient preparation for procedures and surgery.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, hospital staff, patients, families, and community agencies to ensure continuity of care and effective discharge planning.
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations through timely intervention, use of emergency equipment, and adherence to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, patient education, and outcomes.
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, confidentiality, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide leadership, direction, and support to team members while fostering a respectful, collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Requirements

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Or Certified Instructor.
• Education: Requires a graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program.
