Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an experienced registered nurse for 7North Med Surg Unit (Urology/Bariatrics with General Med Surg). The RN will provide holistic nursing care, assess patient needs, implement care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Applicants should hold a PA RN license or valid eNLC license, demonstrate teamwork, communication, and a commitment to patient safety. A strong preference for specialty certification is noted.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care to patients in the 7North Med Surg Unit with Urology/Bariatrics and General Med Surg needs.
• Assesses patient conditions, plans and implements care with physicians and the health care team.
• Delegates tasks appropriately to LPNs and support staff; maintains safe patient environments.
• Documents care, monitors patient progress and reports changes to the physician and supervisor.
• Participates in quality improvement activities and patient safety initiatives.
• Promotes compassionate, patient- and family-centered care and supports continuous professional development.
