Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 2 North General Surgery Unit. The RN assesses patients, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care for individuals and families entrusted to the nurse’s responsibility.

The role requires leadership in a professional practice setting, teamwork, mentoring, appropriate delegation, maintaining safety and quality of care, and collaboration with physicians, LPNs and support staff.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Preferred certification in area of specialty.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and mentoring in a professional practice setting.
• Assesses and plans patient care and collaborates with the team.
• Ensures safety, quality of care, and adherence to hospital policies.
• Supports interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians, LPNs and support staff.
