Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg/Tele unit in Riverview, FL. The RN provides patient care in a hospital setting, using the nursing process and collaborating with the care team to develop and implement the plan of care.

The role requires a valid RN license, BLS certification, and at least 6 months of acute care experience, with an Associates Degree in Nursing. Shift hours are 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, full-time, days and weekends as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 6 months RN acute care experience.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required.

Responsibilities

• The registered nurse collaborates with inter-disciplinary care providers to develop and assist in the plan of care.
• Organizes and prioritizes the plan of care in collaboration with patient and family in a surgical/med-surg setting.
• Identifies patients at risk and prepares the room environment.

Position Description: RN

The Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for professional accountability and development.

• The registered nurse collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others in a surgical unit
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.
