Job summary

BayCare Health System St. Joseph's South in Riverview is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a Med/Surg/Tele unit. You will provide direct patient care using the nursing process, coordinate with the care team, and support families in developing and updating the plan of care.

The role requires an Associates Degree in Nursing and current RN license with BLS, plus 6 months of acute care experience. This is a full-time, day shift position in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• 6 months RN acute care experience.
• BLS Certification required.
• Registered Nurse license.

Responsibilities

• The registered nurse collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others in a surgical unit
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.

The Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for professional accountability and development.
