Trinity Health MI is seeking an RN for the 4 East Med/Surg Unit at Trinity Livingston – Brighton. This 16-bed medical-surgical unit serves adults with acute and chronic diagnoses and provides post-operative and bariatric care, including orthopedic, urology and gynecologic services.

Shifts are available days or nights, with full-time or part-time status and weekend/holiday coverage. Required qualifications include graduation from an approved nursing program and Michigan RN licensure with BLS;

Qualifikationen

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Michigan.
• BSN preferred; diploma/ADN acceptable with obligation to obtain BSN.

4 East Med/Surg Floor

Position Purpose:

The 4 East Med/Surg Unit is a 16 bed Medical Surgical unit serving adults with acute and chronic diagnosis such as, but not limited to:

• Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
• Congestive Heart Failure
• Infection requiring IV antibiotics
• Pain management needs
• Heart issues requiring telemetry
• New orthotic device
• Obesity
• Renal Disease
• Post-surgical needs

We serve as the bariatric surgical floor with 5 rooms dedicated to the care of post-bariatric surgical patients. Other surgical post-op patient needs we serve include, but are not limited to:

• Orthopedic
• Urology
• Gynecologic

Shifts Available: Days, Nights

7:00 AM- 7:00PM Days; 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Nights

Status Available: Full Time, Part-Time - Includes Weekend and Holiday coverage

Required Qualifications:

Education

Graduation from a school of nursing that results in the ability of the graduate to sit for the NCLEX exam to become licensed as a Registered Nurse. BSN preferred.

Licensure

• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• BLS.
• ACLS required for the following departments: Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, Emergency

Experience

• Graduation from accredited nursing program.
• Effective January 1, 2013 all new hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five (5) years from date of hire or transfer to an RN role.
• Knowledge of nursing theory, practice and age specific needs
• Interpersonal skills necessary to initiate and maintain collegial relationships with coworkers and therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Critical thinking skills necessary to perform principal duties and responsibilities of job description.
• Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when planning and performing professional nursing care
