Job summary

Encino Hospital Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg/Telemetry unit. You will provide direct, safe patient care using the nursing process, and guide patient/family teaching while supervising other nursing staff.

The role requires an active state RN license, BLS, ACLS within 30 days of hire, and basic arrhythmia interpretation. Acute care experience and ventilator management are preferred, BSN is a plus.

Qualifications

• RN License required (state).
• BLS certificate required at hire and maintained.
• ACLS certificate required within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) in Med/Surg/Telemetry.
• Direct patient and family teaching and supervise nursing staff while maintaining standards of care.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and diagnostic results; respond quickly to changes in condition.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to their assigned patients. They communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
