Encino Hospital Medical Center, a 150-bed state-of-the-art hospital in Encino, California, seeks a Registered Nurse to join our ICU team. You will provide direct patient care, participate in nursing planning and education, and collaborate with physicians.

The role requires an RN license, BLS/ACLS, critical care training, and 1 year ICU experience. This full-time, day shift position offers a Total Rewards package and a pay range of $40.41–$69.32 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid state RN license required.
  • BLS certificate required on hire and maintained.
  • ACLS certificate required within 30 days of hire.
  • Critical Care Course completion preferred.
  • Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
  • CCRN certification preferred.
  • Minimum of one year as staff RN in acute care hospital; CCU preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process.
  • Provide direct patient care within scope of practice.
  • Lead patient/family teaching and support for other nursing staff.
  • Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians.
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Respond quickly to changes in condition and treatment response.
  • Ensure adherence to ICU standards of care.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Current and valid state RN License.
BLS certificate
ACLS certificate
Critical Care Course

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. They communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
  • Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
  • Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
  • Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status, i.e. full-time or part-time. The current compensation range for this role is $40.41 to $69.32. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
