Job summary

Baptist Health in Prattville is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for direct, bedside care on the Med/Surg unit, including weekend shifts. You will work under the supervision of the RN, administer medications, monitor patients, and report changes to the supervising nurse.

This role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to nursing standards, and patient-centered care. A current LPN license with BLS is required, along with a high school diploma and LPN program completion; strong computer skills

Qualifications

Highlights

Summary: The LPN shall be responsible for direct, individualized, goal-directed, and effective patient care under the supervision of the RN. This individual shall provide care as outlined in the Nursing Care Plan in accordance with Standards of Practice, policies, and procedures. The LPN will be responsible for administration of medications, report patient symptoms and conditions to the RN. For the LPN within Employee Health, the individual will be responsible for new hire and annual health screenings under the direct supervision of the RN. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Education / Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required.

License / Certification

Active LPN license required, BLS required, Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc) may be required based upon department assigned.
