Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for PRN coverage in Med/Surg at Prattville Baptist Hospital. The LPN will provide direct patient care under RN supervision and assist with medication administration and health screenings for new hires and annual checks.

Active LPN licensure and BLS are required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required depending on department. This position supports the hospital’s patient care goals and teams, with potential for additional duties per department

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Degree in Nursing or completion of LPN program required.
• Active LPN license required, BLS required, ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required based upon department assigned

Responsibilities

Highlights

Summary: The LPN shall be responsible for direct, individualized, goal-directed, and effective patient care under the supervision of the RN. This individual shall provide care as outlined in the Nursing Care Plan in accordance with Standards of Practice, policies, and procedures. The LPN will be responsible for administration of medications, report patient symptoms and conditions to the RN. For the LPN within Employee Health, the individual will be responsible for new hire and annual health screenings under the direct supervision of the RN. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Education / Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required.

License / Certification
