Job summary

Baptist Health in Prattville, Alabama, is seeking a licensed practical nurse to join the Employee Health team. The LPN provides direct, goal-directed patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, following the Nursing Care Plan and hospital policies.

Responsibilities include administering medications, reporting symptoms to the RN, and conducting new hire and annual health screenings as needed. Additional duties may be assigned within the scope of the role.

Qualifications

  • Active LPN license required, BLS required.
  • LPN program completion or nursing degree.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Highlights:
Summary:

The LPN shall be responsible for direct, individualized, goal-directed, and effective patient care under the supervision of the RN. This individual shall provide care as outlined in the Nursing Care Plan in accordance with Standards of Practice, policies, and procedures. The LPN will be responsible for administration of medications, report patient symptoms and conditions to the RN. For the LPN within Employee Health, the individual will be responsible for new hire and annual health screenings under the direct supervision of the RN. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Education / Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

License / Certification:

Active LPN license required, BLS required, Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc) may be required based upon department assigned.

Education/Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent required. Degree in Nursing or completion of LPN program required.

Licensure/Certification:

Active LPN license required, BLS required, Additional certifications (ACLSPALS NRP etc) may be required based upon department assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software. Strong team leadership skills, strong organization, interpersonal, and customer relations skills. Must be able to meet strict deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, and excellent organizational skills. Must be able to complete multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to remain calm in difficult situations. Strong written and oral communication skills, proficient computer skills, proven track record of successful performance. Ability to understand complex multifactor situations and bring appropriate solutions. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. Ability to observe, assesses, and record work, safety and infection control standards.
