Job summary

Grand River Health in Rifle, Colorado, seeks a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg Department in a full-time role at our main hospital campus.

The RN will provide professional nursing care, monitor patients, administer medications, educate patients, and coordinate with physicians and the care team. Colorado RN license, current BLS, and ACLS/PALS/ENPC within 6 months are required or pursued after hire; one year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Valid registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado required.
• Current BLS card upon hire.
• ACLS, PALS or ENPC certification within 6 months of initial employment.
• All required certifications must maintain current status throughout GRHD employment.
• Prefer one year of professional nursing experience in a patient care setting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and administer medications, including IV medications, with input from the care team.
• Support patients with bandage care, pain management, and ensuring they rest, drink fluids, and eat properly.
• Track patient progress, update medical records, and communicate with doctors as needed.
• Educate patients and advocate for them when necessary.
• Help maintain health and prevent illnesses, injuries, and disabilities.
• Complete various tasks as assigned.

Full Time Med/Surg Department - Grand River Health | Rifle, CO

What You'll Do

The Registered Nurse (RN) works as a contributing member of the Med/Surg Department at our main hospital campus. They will provide professional nursing care, treatment, counseling, and health education to assigned inpatients. The RN works as a part of a health care team and plans in conjunction with physicians and other care team members.

• Monitors vital signs and administers medications, including intravenous medications, with input from the care team.
• Supports patients with bandage care, pain management, and ensuring they rest, drink fluids, and eat properly.
• Tracks patient progress, updates medical records, and communicates with doctors as needed.
• Educates patients and stands up for them when necessary.
• Helps maintain health and prevents illnesses, injuries, and disabilities.
• Completes various tasks as assigned.

Who We're Looking For

• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Valid registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado required.
