Job summary

Progeny Human Resource Solutions is seeking Registered Nurse candidates for the Med/Surg Unit. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans with healthcare professionals, administer medications, change dressings, start IVs, and monitor vitals to ensure patient safety.

Candidates must hold ADN or BSN, current RN license (state or compact), BLS upon hire, and have at least 1 year of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from school of nursing with ADN or BSN.
• Currently licensed as a registered nurse in state of practice and/or has an active compact license.
• BLS required upon hire.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals.
• Evaluating medical information and providing bedside nursing care to pre- and post-surgery patients.
• Preparing, administering and recording prescribed medications.
• Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs.
• Adjusting specialized medical equipment and recording measurements.
• Monitoring patients' vitals and reporting adverse reactions to medications.

Job Responsibilities

Registered Nurse candidates for the Med/Surg Unit will have the following job responsibilities:

• Evaluating medical information, as well as providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients.
• Preparing, administering and recording prescribed medications.
• Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs.
• Adjusting specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpreting and recording measurements.
• Monitoring patients' vitals and reporting adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner.

Job Qualifications

Registered Nurse candidates for the Med/Surg Unit must meet the following minimum job qualifications:

• Graduate from school of nursing with either an ADN or BSN degree.
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
• BLS required upon hire.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required

General Comments

Mid Range: $30.04 - $41.50 (based on years of experience)

Shift Differentials: $4/Nights & $4.00/Weekends

Sign-On Bonus : Case by Case Basis
