Incredible Health Hospitals in the Washington, DC area are actively hiring for a Registered Nurse - Med Surg. The role calls for nurses with experience in cardiac, neuro, oncology and other units, and offers day, night, and mid shifts with full-time, part-time or per diem options.

Qualified candidates hold an ADN or higher, an active RN license, and 1 year of Med-Surg experience plus BLS certification. Benefits include 401(k), education support, and comprehensive health coverage.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher nursing degree required.
• Active RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in Med-Surg or similar.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Strong clinical assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population.
• Administer medications, monitor vitals, and follow treatment plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and post-discharge care.
• Document all care activities accurately in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year nursing experience, preferably in a medical-surgical or similar setting
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association
• Strong clinical skills in assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care
• Proficiency in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population, including those with both acute and chronic medical conditions
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and implement treatment plans as directed by physicians
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care and to facilitate discharge planning
• Educate patients and their families on chronic and acute disease management, medical conditions, and post-discharge care
• Accurately document all aspects of patient care, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, in compliance with hospital and departmental policies
