East Cooper Medical Center in Mount Pleasant, SC is seeking a registered nurse for the Medical Floor. The role is full-time with a 3-12s night schedule and includes responsibilities across patient care, supervision, and coordination with physicians and families.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, active RN licensure in South Carolina, and BLS certification, with one year of relevant experience preferred. Willingness to lead and mentor staff is valued.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in appropriate state required.
• BLS certification required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; licensure reinstatement rules for inactive licenses.
• One year relevant nursing experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

What We're Looking For:

Education:

4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

Experience:

One year relevant experience, preferred.

Licensure/certification/registration:

• Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.


• BLS required

• Must have good verbal communications skills


• Must have the ability to exercise tact and diplomacy when dealing with physicians, patients and family members personnel


• Discretion is required in handling confidential information


• Must be able to work irregular schedules, weekends and holiday due to staffing and census fluctuations


• Must be able to assume the role of a Charge Nurse as needed/requested
