Job summary

Novant Health's East Cooper Medical Center in Mount Pleasant, SC is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for the PCU. You will provide direct and indirect patient care, assess and respond to health needs, and collaborate with the care team during night shifts.

The role requires a BSN preferred, current RN license, BCLS, PALS, ACLS, and at least one year of relevant experience. You may float to similar units as needed and contribute to quality care and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state required.
• Must have current BCLS, PALS and ACLS certifications.

What You'll Do

• Under the direction of the Department Director and/or Charge Nurse, provides direct and/or indirect, safe and effective professional nursing care.
• Assumes responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating health care needs of all patients assigned.
• Provides nursing care to a patient population ranging from infant to geriatric, unless otherwise indicated.
• Works collaboratively with the health care team, is customer focused and strives to meet unit and hospital goals.
• Provides quality nursing care according to established practice standards and guidelines for the area(s) assigned.
• Must be willing/able to float to other (comparable) nursing units, as requested/needed.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience:One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/certification/registration: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
  • Must have current BCLS, PALS and ACLS certifications
