Job summary

East Cooper Medical Center in Mount Pleasant, SC seeks a Seasonal Resource Nurse for the Medical Floor. You will provide direct and indirect nursing care under supervision and support patient care goals.

RN license required in SC; BSN preferred; 1 year relevant experience preferred; willing to float to other units as needed. 12-week contract with 3-12s night schedule.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state of South Carolina is required.
• BSN preferred; 4-year/ bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect, safe nursing care under supervision.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for all assigned patients.
• Deliver nursing care to patients from infant to geriatric as appropriate.
• Collaborate with the health care team to meet unit and hospital goals.
• Float to other comparable nursing units as needed.

What You'll Do

• Under the direction of the Department Director and/or Charge Nurse, provides direct and/or indirect, safe and effective professional nursing care.
• Assumes responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating health care needs of all patients assigned.
• Provides nursing care to a patient population ranging from infant to geriatric, unless otherwise indicated.
• Works collaboratively with the health care team, is customer focused and strives to meet unit and hospital goals.
• Provides quality nursing care according to established practice standards and guidelines for the area(s) assigned.
• Must be willing/able to float to other comparable nursing units, as requested/needed.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience:One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/certification/registration: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
