Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health Westerly Hospital is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to provide individualized, goal-directed care using the nursing process and primary nursing principles under the nurse manager's guidance.

The role requires graduate-level nursing education, current RN licensure, and BLS certification. ACLS optional; PALS within one year of hire. Prior medical-surgical, pediatrics, or telemetry experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient's physical and psychological condition continuously and document data accurately.
  • Adhere to Westerly Hospital policies and procedures.
  • Act as a clinical resource and role model for staff.
  • Participate in trainings and educational activities for team members.
  • Demonstrate respect, compassion, and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure coordinated patient care and timely communication.

  • 1.1Assesses the patient's physical and psychological condition on an ongoing basis throughout the continuum of care. Documents appropriately the information obtained from the ongoing assessment. Shares significant assessment data with the appropriate discipline.

Qualifications
EDUCATION

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.

EXPERIENCE

Medical-surgical nursing, pediatrics, telemetry experience preferred.

LICENSURE

Current state registration. BLS required ACLS (Optional) PALS within one year of hire
