St. David’s Georgetown Hospital in Georgetown, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse Maternal Designation Coordinator to influence patient care through collaboration with management, hospital councils, and nursing initiatives. The role focuses on OB critical care, performance improvement, and ongoing nursing education.

You will conduct chart reviews, lead rounds, and engage in outreach with healthcare entities to improve maternal outcomes and support injury prevention efforts within the community.

Qualifications

• RN license required
• Associate degree in nursing or related field
• ACLS within 60 days of start
• Fetal monitoring certification/training required
• Basic life support within 30 days of start
• Intermediate fetal monitoring
• Neonatal resuscitation training

Responsibilities

• Conduct performance improvement activities and OB patient chart reviews
• Perform daily patient rounds and participate in nursing education
• Deliver educational presentations for nursing staff on obstetrical critical care
• Lead outreach activities with healthcare entities and prehospital providers
• Participate in injury prevention programs and hospital councils

Job Summary and Qualifications

Quality Perinatal & Maternal Designation Coordinator responsibilities will include conducting performance improvement activities, critical care OB patient chart review, daily patient rounds and participate in nursing education. Educational/training presentations for all nursing staff related to critical care of the obstetrical patient and outreach activities interacting with other healthcare entities, pre-hospital care providers and presenting/participating in injury prevention programs to interested organizations and the general public.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
• Neonate Resuscitate
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree
