Job summary

Saint Luke’s North Hospital – Barry Road in Kansas City, MO is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Operating Room team. The RN will assist with Caesarean Sections, Orthopedics, Urological, Gynecological, ENT, and General Surgery Procedures, with robotics training to come.

This is a full-time day shift with call coverage and weekend rotation. Ideal candidates are flexible, resilient, and patient advocates who work well under pressure and collaborate with the health care team to

Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant OR nursing experience.
• Current RN license and BLS certification.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for utilizing the nursing process, safety and efficiency.
• Care of the patient in the intra-operative phase of care.
• Delegates patient care tasks and supervises other staff.
• Coordinates the plan of care for a group of patients.
• Consults with the health care team to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Adheres to policies, rules, guidelines and procedures.

The Work

• Accountable for utilizing the nursing process, safety and efficiency

• Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients
• Consults with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes
