Job summary

Kindred Hospital Indianapolis offers 24-hour clinical care seven days a week, with 59 beds dedicated to long-term acute care. Located by White River off North White Parkway, it partners with physicians to support extended recovery journeys.

As a registered nurse, you will plan and deliver patient care, coordinate with families and interdisciplinary staff, and participate in discharge planning to ensure safe transitions and ongoing wellness.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age and clinical condition.
• Basic computer knowledge and charting.
• Ability to organize tasks, set priorities and work under stress.
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Good attendance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process (Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation).
• Develop and update nursing care plans in coordination with patient, family and staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and nursing leadership.
• Participate in discharge planning and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Administer medications safely using five rights and document appropriately.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and pain management.
