Job summary

Starr Regional Medical Center in Etowah, TN, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Long Term Care unit. This full-time role runs 7am–7pm with rotating weekends, and offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants. You will provide comprehensive nursing care, develop care plans, and collaborate with a team dedicated to compassionate patient outcomes.

Applicants should have an associate degree (BSN preferred), active Tennessee RN license, and BLS. PALS within 6 months is required.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree required; BSN preferred.
• Active Tennessee RN license (single-state or compact) required.
• BLS certification required at hire; PALS within 6 months of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
• Establishes a care plan involving patient and family as appropriate.
• Supervises and mentors nursing and support staff on shift.
• Determines staffing needs based on census, acuity, and staff availability.
• Delivers direct patient care as needed and coordinates admissions/discharges.
