Job summary

Five Star Nursing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive patient care in a long-term care setting. You will record medical histories, monitor vitals, and administer medications while offering compassionate support to patients and families.

The role welcomes new grads and values bilingual abilities, with weekend and flexible scheduling options to fit full-time or part-time commitments. Prior Sigma Care experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Current RN license and registration.
• CPR certification.
• Resume required.
• Physical examination required.
• MMR & Varicella titers.
• PPD or chest X-ray proof if positive.
• One personal and one professional reference letter.
• Original Social Security Card.
• Original non-expired state ID.
• Original Proof of Citizenship/Immigration (birth cert, green card, resident card).
• Long-term care experience is a plus; new grads welcome.
• Bilingual capabilities in Russian, Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish or additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Record a patient's medical history accurately.
• Take and record blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, etc.
• Observe patients under treatment for progress and side effects.
• Monitor fluid intake/output and maintain patient charts.
• Assist patients with daily activities such as eating and bathing.
• Administer injections and prescribed medications; wound care as needed.
• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned.
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.
• Communicate with patients' families to provide guidance and updates.

Requirements of the (RN) Registered Nurse

• Current RN license and registration
• CPR certification
• Resume

Responsibilities of the (RN) Registered Nurse

• Record a patient's medical history accurately
• Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
• Monitor patients' condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts
• Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing etc.
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks
• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
• Communicate with patients' family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions
