Five Star Nursing in New York seeks a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to provide compassionate care in a long-term care setting. You will document accurately, monitor patients, and collaborate with the care team.

You will administer medications, monitor vital signs, assist with daily activities, and support families. A current LPN license, CPR, and flexible full-time or part-time schedules (weekends included) are required.

Competenze

• Current LPN license and registration.
• CPR certification.
• Malpractice insurance.
• Resume and 1 personal + 1 professional reference.
• Physical exam.
• MMR & Varicella titers.
• PPD or chest X-ray if positive.
• Original Social Security Card and Identification.
• Proof of citizenship/immigration documents.

Mansioni

• Record a patient’s medical history accurately.
• Take and record measurements (BP, temp, HR, etc.).
• Observe patients under treatment for progress and medication effects.
• Monitor fluid intake/output and maintain patient charts.
• Assist patients with daily activities (eating, bathing).
• Administer injections, prescribed meds, dress wounds, basic care.
• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families.
• Communicate with patients’ family with guidance and comfort.

Compensation and Benefits for the (LPN) Licensed Practical Nurse

• Salary of the (LPN) Licensed Practical Nurse: $42/hour
• Paid orientation.
• Direct deposit available.

Requirements of the (LPN) Licensed Practical Nurse

• Current LPN license and registration
• CPR certification
• Malpractice insurance

• Sigma Care experience (computer system, patient information) a plus
• Long-term care experience a big plus, but new grads welcome as well!
• Bilingual Russian, Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish or additional languages a plus

Responsibilities for the (LPN) Licensed Practical Nurse

• Record a patient’s medical history accurately
• Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
• Monitor patients’ condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts
• Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing etc.
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks
• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
• Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions
