Job summary

WesleyLife in Des Moines, IA seeks a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct nursing care in the Enhanced Living unit. Responsibilities include wound care, IV therapy, catheter management, administering medications, and developing individualized care plans.

RNs only: conduct admission assessments and enter PCC. Coordinate with physicians and families; ensure regulatory compliance and infection control.

Qualifications

• State of Iowa RN or LPN license is required.

Job Duties: Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse

• Provide direct nursing care, such as wound care, IV therapy, and catheter management. Comprehensive assessments of residents' health conditions, including vital signs, and developing individualized care plans. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation and monitoring for side effects.
• Conduct admission assessments into the Enhanced Living unit and enter into Point Click Care (PCC) *RNs only.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate and optimize resident care, including communicating with physicians and families.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for residents.

Qualifications

• State of Iowa RN or LPN license
• Previous LTC or AL experience is preferred but not required

Open Shifts Available

• Full Time Day Shift
  • 7:00a-3:30p, 6:30a-3:00p, or 8:00a-4:30p
  • This nurse will be on call every third week.
