Monday - Friday: 7a-7:30p

Currently no Saturday hours

Preferred Experience:

5 years of nursing experience including precepting

Minimum of 2 years in women's health

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee daily patient care, staffing, workflow, equipment, and supplies. Assist in evaluating and adjusting care provided by staff. Act as an expert resource. Provide work direction and assist with patient flow.
  2. Promote and implement care management and quality initiatives. Establish and monitor quality standards. Take corrective actions as needed.
  3. Maintain knowledge of policies, procedures, regulatory, compliance, and scope of practice guidelines. Promote safety and infection control standards.
  4. Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Recognize and respond to changes in patient status. Prioritize patient needs.
  5. Provide triage and consultation according to protocols.
  6. Prepare patients for exams, obtain vital signs, and document health information.
  7. Perform laboratory procedures following aseptic techniques and infection control guidelines. Demonstrate competency in advanced clinical skills under supervision.
  8. Assist physicians with procedures and surgeries.
  9. Administer medications as ordered, including IV therapy, and perform medication mixing.
  10. Assess and educate patients on care and treatment, follow up on procedures, prescriptions, and referrals. Relay information between patients and providers.
  11. Provide age-appropriate care, understanding growth, development, and patient-specific needs.

Licensure and Certification:

  • RN license issued by the practicing state
  • BLS certification from AHA (to be obtained within 6 months if not already held)

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Experience:

  • Typically 5 years of nursing experience, including precepting and acting as a resource

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to make critical, independent decisions
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
  • Leadership skills including delegation and team building
  • Proficient in computer skills and electronic medical records

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, and reach as needed
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist, 20 lbs overhead, and carry up to 40 lbs
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs force, perform transfers with assistance
  • Exposure to hazards and need for protective equipment
  • Functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch; fine motor skills
