Experience:

5 years of nursing experience preferred, including precepting

Minimum of 2 years in women's health

Major Responsibilities:

1. Oversees daily patient care, staffing, workflow, equipment, and supplies. Assists in evaluating and adjusting care provided by staff. Acts as a clinical resource. May direct staff and assist with patient flow.
2. Promotes and implements care management and quality initiatives. Establishes quality standards. Monitors care delivery and addresses issues.
3. Maintains knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations. Ensures staff compliance. Promotes safety and infection control.
4. Uses nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care. Responds to changes in patient status. Prioritizes patient needs.
5. Provides triage and consultation per protocol.
6. Prepares patients for exams, obtains vital signs, and documents health information.
7. Performs laboratory procedures and advanced clinical tasks with competency.
8. Assists with procedures and surgeries.
9. Administers medications and manages IV therapy.
10. Provides patient education, follow-up, and referrals.
11. Provides age-appropriate care, understanding growth and development principles.

Licensure/Certification:

• Registered Nurse license in practicing state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months if required

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Experience:

• Typically 5 years in nursing, including precepting and resource roles

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organization and problem-solving skills
• Leadership skills including delegation and team building
• Proficient in computer skills and EMR systems

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Must perform physical activities including lifting, bending, and reaching
• Lift up to 50 lbs, carry 40 lbs, push/pull 30 lbs
• Exposed to hazards; wear protective equipment as needed
• Functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch required
