Qualifications:

• 5 years of nursing experience preferred, including precepting
• Minimum of 2 years in women's health

Major Responsibilities:

1. Oversee daily patient care operations, staffing, workflow, equipment, and supplies. Assist in evaluating and adjusting care and services. Provide clinical expertise and guidance. May direct other staff and assist with patient flow.
2. Promote and implement care management and quality initiatives. Establish and monitor quality standards. Take corrective actions as needed.
3. Maintain knowledge of policies, procedures, regulations, and scope of practice. Ensure staff compliance. Promote safety and infection control standards.
4. Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Respond to changes in patient status and prioritize care accordingly.
5. Provide triage and consultation per protocol and guidelines.
6. Prepare patients for exams by obtaining vital signs and relevant health information.
7. Perform laboratory procedures and advanced clinical skills with demonstrated competency.
8. Assist physicians with procedures and surgeries.
9. Administer medications and manage IV therapy as ordered.
10. Provide patient education and counseling, coordinate tests, prescriptions, and referrals.
11. Provide age-appropriate care, understanding growth and development stages.

Licensure and Certification:

• Registered Nurse license in practicing state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months if required

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Experience:

• At least 5 years in nursing, including precepting and acting as a resource
