The Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a part-time nurse for Nelson 3, a 23-bed medical unit with telemetry. You will provide top-tier care to adult patients with complex conditions, collaborating with physicians, case managers, homecare specialists, pharmacists, PT/OT, and social workers.

Qualifications

• RN with Med/Tele experience.
• Baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Active BLS via AHA, American Red Cross or Military Training Network at time of hire.
• Active Maryland RN or Compact License at time of hire.

• Coordinates the total scope of care for patients to achieve clinical, financial, and organizational outcomes.
• Provides evidence-based care and supports management activities, including performance reviews and training.

Here, you'll provide top-tier care to adult patients with complex conditions, including acute gastrointestinal, cardiac, renal, hepatic, endocrine, sickle cell, hematological, and respiratory disorders. Nelson 3 is more than just a unit-it's a collaborative environment where you'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team of physicians, case managers, homecare specialists, pharmacists, PT/OT, and social workers. Together, we ensure the highest quality of care and support for our patients and their families.

Job duties:

• Coordinates the total scope of care for patients to achieve clinical, financial, and organizational outcomes.
• Provides evidence-based care. Assumes management functions including responsibility for employment activities, conducting performance reviews, facilitating training, and monitoring corrective action plans.
• Manages, mentors, and develops others to promote quality, safety, and excellence in care.
• Works collaboratively with and provides leadership for a multidisciplinary team to optimize performance.
• Promotes and identifies quality improvement initiatives (clinical, financial, operational) aligned with departmental and organizational objectives.
• Identifies methods to promote the cost-effective use of resources.

Requirements:

• Recent Med/Tele experience and RN proficient in RN II & III competencies
• Baccalaureate degree, in nursing from an accredited School of Nursing required
• Active BLS via AHA, American Red Cross or Military Training Network at time of hire
• Active Maryland RN or Compact License at time of hire

Salary Range: Minimum $47.96/hour - Maximum $74.34/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
