Job summary

Signature HealthCARE of Muncie is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care in a 185-bed facility. You will oversee daily nursing operations, supervise nursing staff, and ensure adherence to regulations while maintaining compassionate, patient-centered care.

The role emphasizes ADL support, accurate documentation, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans. A valid state RN license and CPR/BLS are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Minimum one year of clinical nursing experience; long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience in a supervisory or charge nurse role preferred.
• Strong clinical observation, medication administration, and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of Federal and State long-term care regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration and wound care.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensure comfort, dignity, and safety.
• Supervise and direct nursing assistants and medication aides during the shift.
• Monitor and observe residents’ status and notify physician of changes.
• Develop and review individualized resident care plans with the team.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation per policy and procedure.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges per procedure.
• Participate in quality assurance activities, staff education, and regulatory surveys.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
