Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Labor and Delivery nurse to provide family-centered care for mothers and newborns across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages. You will support families, monitor labor progress, and respond quickly to complications in a fast-paced unit.

Require MO RN license, BLS, ACLS and NRP within specified timelines. Ideal candidate has BSN and prior labor/delivery experience in a hospital setting. Night shift coverage and rotating schedule offered with benefits.

Qualifications

• RN license active in Missouri
• BLS must be obtained within 90 days
• ACLS must be obtained within one year of hire
• NRP must be obtained within one year of hire
• Preferred: BSN degree

Job Description: The Labor and Delivery nurse cares for women and neonates during labor and childbirth. They are responsible for assisting, supporting, and educating families throughout the birth process. The Labor and Delivery nurse provides comprehensive, family centered nursing care to mothers and neonates during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages of delivery. The Labor and Delivery nurse must be able to recognize complications and act quickly to stabilize the situation and communicate with the patient, family, and appropriate physicians and specialists.

Education

• Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Experience

• Preferred: Previous nursing experience
