Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a dedicated Postpartum Nurse for the South Springfield location. This night shift role (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) is a 36-hour weekly position in the Maternity department, focused on supporting new mothers and their infants during the postpartum period.

Responsibilities include education, newborn care, and teamwork with the maternity unit. Required MO RN license; BLS within 90 days, NRP within one year. BSN preferred; earning potential supported by benefits and a career ladder.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
• Active Missouri RN license required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• NRP certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
• BSN preferred.
• Previous nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate and assist the new mother with physical and emotional needs during the postpartum period.
• Care for the newborn and educate mothers about their care.
• Demonstrate leadership and effective time management in a multitasking environment.
• Collaborate with the maternity team to ensure safe, quality care.
